Of all the forces in the Agrippa Sector, the Inquisitionhas remained the most steadfast in these dark times. Enigmatic by nature, few on the outside know the inner workings of the Ordos of the Inquisition.

The following is a summarization of the Inquisition in the Agrippa Sector, however, it must be stressed this is a mere synopsis and does not reflect much of the grand complexities of this shadowy institution.

Hierchy of the Inquisition in Agrippa Edit

Despite the fact Inquisitors are often without restrictions in their individual authority, there is a central hierarchy and rank structure common among the populated sectors of the Galaxy.

Although rural, the Agrippa Sector has been deemed valuable enough to have a Princeps Inquisitor posted by the High Lords of Terra.

In succession, starting from the days of the 19th Agrippa War; Patrichex, Hraxis, Lannes and now Torchia all have served as the central figurehead of the organization.

It is the Princeps Inquisitor's job to keep the Inquisitional staff of the sector in line, and pending approval from Terra, select and appoint chiefs to the various Ordos: Malleus, Hereticus, and Xenos. It should be noted at this juncture that often an Inquisitor can and does receive direct orders from the High Lords of Terra. These orders can give an individual Inquisitor veto, outside his rank, over and above the orders of the Princeps Inquisitor. This is just one example of how convoluted the structure of the Inquisition can be at times.

Princeps Torchia and the Purging of M41 Edit

Before the Death of Princeps Inquisitor Lannes and the appointment of Princeps Inquisitor Torchia it was estimated there were some 300 operatives working within the borders of the Agrippa Sector. This number was believed to be too much, especially as Agrippa was considered a frontier sector, and with the brewing troubles in the galactic area known as the Eye of Terror, many agents were needed there.

As a result, Torchia was given the authority to ‘clean house’ and ordered over three quarters of the active agents in the sector to hand over their cases and report back to the High Lords. In expropriating their files, and granting seals to only selected agents, a handful remained in the sector.

Such a move has rarely been seen in the galaxy, but Torchia was earnest in his pursuit in making sure the sector had an efficient and well organized Inquisitional team focused on exterminating the enemies of the Imperium. By ridding the sector of a great bulk of Inquisitional baggage he also removed much of the in fighting that plagued the Ordos prior to his appointment.

The current heads of the three branches as appointed by Torchia and approved by Terra are: Inquisitor Commena (vice Lannes) as the chief of the Ordo Malleus, Inquisitor Null as the chief of the Ordo Hereticus, Inquisitor Arbalast as chief of the Ordo Xenos.
